Quench channels the energy of London and Birmingham’s rave scenes to Mulubinba (Newcastle, AU), injecting the local dance community with the unmistakable groove of UK garage, breaks, and 2-step. With a foundation rooted in the UK’s underground, his sound is a fresh mix of classic rhythms and modern basslines.

As a DJ and producer of UK bass music - and one half of the downtempo duo KehdiDoofi Disqo - Quench has made a memorable debut at events like Rhythm At Dusk's Jungle Party and the Higher Ground. His sets blend the freshest and classic tracks from Britain’s leading garage and breakbeat producers, delivering a sound that’s both nostalgic and forward-thinking.

Bringing an upbeat and infectious energy to every performance, Quench is a rising talent to watch in the Mulubinba scene.

TDJ, a self-proclaimed bedroom and house party DJ, hails from Tarntanya (Adelaide, AU). His musical journey began with house music, transitioning through trance, progressive, and eventually landing on hard house. He proudly maintains his collection of vinyl records.

Transitioning to digital formats, TDJ has expanded his musical repertoire to include drum and bass, often hosting small sessions at home to explore this genre further. His artistic influences draw from artists such as Armand Van Buuren, Fat Boy Slim, Moby, and Billy Bunter.

Reflecting on his earliest experiences, TDJ recalls attending his first rave at Saint Paul’s Church, featuring legendary acts like HMC, Grooverider, and Chris C. He fondly reminisces about frequenting various venues in Tarntanya, including The Corner Heaven Night Club, The Village Tavern, Chemistry Nights, and Rise, as well as attending clandestine gatherings like Enchanted Forest.

TDJ has expanded his horizons by performing at live events, including Wickid Lickwid, Eyre Peninsula Drum and Bass and his first time playing on a big rig for Barossa Valley Drum and Bass, supporting Mampi Swift.

Drum and bass is so much more to me than just big drops, quick dopamine fixes, and loud noises. Sets can be a profound journey that touches the soul, deepens connections, and fosters personal growth.

This weekend, I had the immense honour of playing at the final RootBound Festival in FNQLD, and it was my heartfelt pleasure to guide people on a journey of intention through the sounds that resonate so deeply with me. Holding space with people through music is so incredibly powerful. It means the world to me to connect through music. 

Thank you to RootBound for inviting me to be part of such a special party. I'm deeply grateful to everyone who worked tirelessly to bring this festival to life and to all the amazing souls I encountered over the weekend. RootBound was a beautiful, authentic, and cathartic experience.

With everything that is going on in the world, personally and in general, it was a weekend of pure magic and escapism amongst chaos.

RootBound Festival 2024 Set - 9 August 2024

Sister Gaia has cemented her place as a key figure in the northeast USA's underground electronic scene. Based out of New York and New Jersey, she’s a vinyl enthusiast and sound system aficionado who crafts meticulously curated sets spanning reggae, dub, dubstep, jungle, drum and bass, and more. As a resident at Rewind140, she brings her passion for deep, bass-driven sounds to every performance.

Sister Gaia’s distinct style and dedication have earned her guest mixes with Sublimate Records (Sublimix series), The American Grime Show, Couchfam, and Widdfam. 

She's recently performed at Sermon, Dubyoga, and Tropical Dreams Festival and she's featured on lineups alongside artists such as Homemade Weapons, Epoch, Truth, Tsuruda, Ternion Sound, Hypho and Sepia.
