Inna Jungle SubSBass 2022 rec

Danky was born and raised in California surrounded by a family full of musicians. In her early years, piano, trumpet, and guitar occupied most of Danky's time before she discovered the magic of combining electronic and acoustic instruments together in the studio. Danky's initial forays into music production found her exploring the nuances of HipHop, Juke, and Future Beats; but it was only when she began to try her hand at Jungle and Drum & Bass that her passion for the craft truly began to blossom.

Now, 7 years later, Danky has carved a place for herself within the thriving underground scene of electronic dance music where she can flex her own her eclectic and undeniable groovy style of DnB that takes slivers and echoes from every other genre of music that has moved her to this point. 

This mix includes some of my favorite new drum and bass tunes and a handful of unreleased tracks from me. Enjoy!

We are excited to welcome VEIN out of PDX for the 105th edition of the Sublimix Series! VEIN hit us with a mix full of DNB & Jungle flavors including some of his own original productions. He is known as the head of Dope Ghost Industries and hosts a free monthly in Portland for any fans of DNB, Breaks, Halftime, Juke, 140, and Leftfield sounds! 

"I use to spend a lot of time by myself, mixing at home in the studio, recording and then listening back in the car.  I realized that, lately, especially in the last ten years, all of my recordings have been of live performances in front of a crowd and I don't really mix in the studio by myself anymore. I spend all of that time working on production. So this was my first time doing that in quite some time.

      I decided with this mix, to select a pool of tunes that I've had in rotation lately and lay down a technical set that tells a story with minimal digital effects. Also. I usually bop around through various genres and subgenres like juke, halftime, and 140 and I decided to keep it in the drum n bass and jungle lanes at 174 bpm.  This mix also contains four originals including a collaboration with Deformaty from his recent release, the tune “Crystals” off of my last e.p. and a couple unreleased joints that just got picked up. I hope everyone enjoys listening to it as much as I had mixing it. "
