Music Director Alan Gilbert conducts.

Part III of our continuing ten-week Mahler cycle features a single work, the Symphony No. 3. We present a broadcast recording from October 1976 conducted by then Music Director Pierre Boulez . The Orchestra is joined by Australian mezzo-soprano Yvonne Minton, the Camerata Singers, the Boys' Choir from The Little Church Around the Corner and the Trinity Church Boys' Choir, plus the Brooklyn Boys' Choir. Part IV of our Mahler cycle continues with two works that showcase the human voice. The program begins with Des Knaben Wunderhorn in a performance from 1969 featuring Christa Ludvig and Walter Berry 7. That's followed by a broadcast recording of the Symphony No. 4 from 1962 featuring Georg Solti leading the Orchestra and soprano Irmgard Seefried. Alec Baldwin is your host.
