Daydreaming can often be used as a way of escaping into a state of emotional release.

It’s a common form of catharsis — a difficult muzzle our minds go through to purge suppressed feelings such as grief, frustration, and betrayal, by constantly replaying the same scenarios and reimagining different outcomes.

For the last two years, I lived trying to meet expectations and fulfill a role that wasn’t mine, giving a big part of myself away.

But recently, I realized I needed to stop living like that by accepting that I can't change anything except myself.

I can’t change the past.
I can’t live in my memories.
I can’t fix people.

I learned that I must walk this path alone. And maybe that’s not something to fear. Because somewhere along the way, I’ll stop searching for someone to save me and become the person I needed all along.

This set is a breaking point; a release from the mental shackles and the darker echoes that keep me trapped inside my own prison.
