The word Sveifla comes from the Icelandic verb "to swing/or to sway". 

Sveifla's productions draw off influences across the broad musical  and poetic landscapes; creating electronic music that blends the core essence of dance with a variety of other musical facets.  After honing his talents as a producer, Sveifla incorporated DJ'ing into his repertoire and released a series of mixes that bounced from Miles Davis to Techno and Downtempo, showcasing his ability to create a narrative through mixing.
