This is the full demo of the song 'Save Me', from the upcoming Nexus Redux album, Illusions. The basis of this song was written on New Year's Day, 2011 and took 6 hours. This version was recorded in one session, over one day, and although it is not the final version, it is very solid and its unlikely the track will change much when it is finally mastered and mixed for the album.

NRSL - Save Me - Full Demo

This is the ever so slightly epic opening track to the album. It is in it's final form. Recorded at the original studio recording session back in 2005/6, this track features original Nexus member Robert Parhizkar on lead guitar. It was recently resurrected in 2010, when it was mixed and finished by Steve for inclusion on his debut album.

01 Deserted

The 'Jam' track, taken from the original studio recording done by Nexus in 2005/6. This track in it's entirety is nearly 15 minutes long, but it's the first few minutes that really capture the creativity of the musicians. Completely unplanned and unrehearsed, this track showcases the skill of three of the original members of Nexus. Sadly however, this was the last track they ever played and recorded together as the band had already begun to fall apart. It is included as a bonus track.

Madness of the Making of

Easier Way was originally intended to form part of a musical. However when the plans fell through, it was turned more toward the rock genre and now fits into the album. It was written in 2009 and was completed into its full demo form in 2011, when the vocals were re-recorded and remixed. The vocal track is subject to a further recording before the track is finalized.

Easier Way (Full Demo)

Nexus Redux is the name shared by a collaborative duo from Southampton, England. Originally, the five-man band formed in 2001 and after performing and writing for several years under various guises, the name Nexus was chosen. However, in 2006, the band separated, citing busy schedules as the reason. Each of the members continued to write and perform with different bands and solo projects on and off, and it was in 2010 that two of the original members got back together to form a reduced version of the group, focusing more now on their own styles of songwriting and production. Working out of a small studio setup, each of the two are currently writing and recording their solo albums, with each-others help. Being both talented, self taught, multi-instrumentalists and working closely with another long term producer for the original band, these men are writing and recording, unique soundscapes of music, covering several genres.
