Acid is Kegffnayy's key element. In 2015 Kegffnayy experimented with thriving beats
combined with countless acid riffs. This caused him to create projects with a more Hardcore
sound and Industrial Breakbeats, which were highly inspired by the work of Aphex Twin.
With his sets, he strives to surprise his audience. Delivering dark, eccentric and trippy Electro
alternated with more up tempo Acid Techno and Breakbeat.
His acidic tracks have flowed through various historical and distinctive venues such as H7
Warehouse at Intercell, Het Magazijn, Warehouse Elementenstraat, BASIS, TOFFLER and also
Radion. Furthermore, he introduced his contemporary yet 90's inspired sound to raves in
Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Paris. You can also find him at multiple radio shows throughout
the country, and he's having a monthly Radio show at Operator Rotterdam.
In March 2018 Kegffnayy decided to bring new creative minds together and released
compilation albums on his Everyone On Acid label. The main idea of this label is to build a
platform and bring known artists together with new talented producers, releasing albums
where the characteristic 303 acid sound is leading.
Small side project named “lower_flower”. Multiple perspectives in a more experimental
mindset, expecting ambient compositions.

In early 2023, Tresor Records will reissue the sole output from Shifted Phases entitled The Cosmic Memoirs Of The Late Great Rupert J. Rosinthrope. Initially released in 2002, soon after James Stinson passed away, this LP plays a mysterious and compelling role in the Drexciya journey. While other records of Drexciya and related projects have received numerous reprints and editions, The Cosmic Memoirs... has remained out of print since its release. This rarity leaves it more open to interpretation with its place in the Drexciyan storm series, as it became increasingly hard to find and underexplored. 

Track titles Solar Wind, White Dwarf, and Lonely Journey of the Comet Bopp reveal a focus on cosmic realms, suggesting a link with the Drexciya LP Grava 4 that moves from the underwater to the galactic. As it launches with mechanical blows on a precise orbit, each repetition entrenches the gravitational pull in the galaxy of Shifted Phases. In many places, it sounds like the readout of frequencies harvested from outer space, pockmarked with packet loss from the millions of kilometres distance travelled. 

The music is hard to contain, intuitively restless in motion through its unfolding universe and achingly resonant. It shapeshifts across affectedly melodic sequences such as in Lonely Journey..., to the sparse, hard-hitting timbres found in Alien Vessel Distress Call and the mangled reverse vocals in The Freak Show, somewhat reminiscent of another Drexciya side-project, Glass Domain. The mythology of Drexciya is evident in how keenly James Stinson and Gerald Donald created their imaginary worlds. In Crossing Of The Sun-Ra Nebula, there is an undisputable reference to another Afro-futurist who delved deep into a galaxy of their own making.

This reissue does not merely close the loop on Tresor's reissue series of the Drexciya catalogue but brings Shifted Phases to fresh ears more than other records. Accompanied by newly commissioned artwork from Matthew Angelo Harrison, the 3xLP vinyl reissue also features the tracks Crossing Of The Sun-Ra Nebula and Alien Vessel Distress Call, which were previously only on the original CD release.

Aller Ende Anfang releases their first Various Artists EP, encompassing 5 energetic tracks opening up a spectrum from breaky to straight, from powerful to dreamy. Side A pushes forward with flickering breakbeat electro by Icelandic Jadzia, whereas Bielefeld Murder Boys deliver a hard-hitting remix of Lord Pusswhip's "SVEIGÐ". Newcomer Unwucht strikes with a total rave hit based on DJ Slugo's "Back Da Fuck Up", rounding out this driving side of the record.The more pensive side B opens up with "Splinters", an experimental and surging piece by crouds, which is accompanied by an ethereal and melodic breakbeat jam by aspiring Hungarian artist LAU.

Up next on Feel My Bicep, the lauded Irish duo Bicep bring experienced UK producer James Shinra to the forefront with a new slamming and cleverly constructed 12" 'Signs / Arc' - slated for release on July 26.

The EP comes paired with remixes from '90s techno veteran John Beltran and the intrepid 50Weapons and R&S affiliate Benjamin Damage. Ahead of the release, Mixmag has locked down the latter for a premiere. Following his euphoric debut release on Feel My Bicep, James Shinra brings his skilled productions to one of Scotland's best exporters of electro, Craigie Knowes. Over the last few years Mitch and Max, the guys behind the label, have released heavy hitters from some of the finest artists operating in that sphere, like Carl Finlow, Jensen Interceptor, Maelstrom and Textasy. James Shinra adds to that healthy discography with some acid driven cuts that have a "sinister, wintery feel"...

James Shinra's whirlwind year is rounded off with some final words via Craigie Knowes. Shinra's 'Darkroom EP' features his signature style of Techno and Electro across 4 varied cuts with a bit of a darker twist.
