I'm a diversity and community engagement expert. The first book I wrote is called #InsideFerguson. I was born and raised in Memphis; now I live in Portland. I have two amazing kids, that I want to make the world better for.
I have served as the CEO of the  Devin James Group for over ten years. I toured with several rock bands as a bass player in my teens and I started rapping and producing beats in college.

This song is from 2004, when I performed as a rap artist and producer named Nez P. When I was in my 20s, to fund my business endeavors, I would travel the country making my own music and selling the cd's out the trunk (hustling) to feed my family. This birthed my marketing career as I became an expert at guerilla marketing or "street team" marketing, an outreach tactic commonly used by corporations, non-profits and government who want to reach the urban and disengaged communities.
