Configuration Race is a piece of music I wrote and recorded for my A-Level music course around 2003 to 2004.
It is for an 11 piece percussion ensemble, though this recording is produced by multi-tracking just myself playing around half of the parts in the studio, plus some parts played with MIDI instruments.

Cut And Run is a musical version game of consequences http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Consequences_(game).

The game was played between March and August 2011 by members of the Ninja Tune Records online community forum ( http://www.ninjatune.co.uk/forum ). Please watch the video version of this here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWlqqgci04U

The idea behind the game was that the first participant would produce four bars of original music, send the finished four bars to a nominated member who would assemble the finished pierce, and then send just their fourth bar to the next player who would then develop their own four bars from that point and repeat the process.

I am using this SoundCloud to host all my musical compositions, and a selection of projects I have been involved with. All of these were produced prior to 2008 when I almost entirely dropped my musical studies, activities and occasional professional work to focus on my career in video production (See here: https://www.videosoul.co.uk/ ).

Prior to that I was playing percussion and drums, and composing on a regular basis. I grew up in a musical family (my father being a composer) and studied a few instruments before settling on percussion which I studied at the Centre for Young Musicians in London which led to several years playing with the London Schools Symphony Orchestra. I went on to study music at the University of York (BAHons) where several of the works on this Soundcloud were composed and produced.

I've also played with several bands, predominantly Continuum ( https://myspace.com/continuumcollective ) who I played with for two years at York.

The standard of works I am uploading here varies massively! Please remember some of these were degree submissions, yet some were produced when I was just 11 years old on an Atari ST!

I am uploading them all regardless, for the sake of archiving.
