This bi-monthly podcast series is part of our collaboration with the Berlin-based radio Refuge Worldwide (a fundraising platform working with a young womxn’s centre, refugee, etc.. / offering visibility to minorities and fights against all kinds of discrimination).

A trip to Tokyo in 1999 gave Anri her first taste of electronic music and there was no looking back. In 2010 she moved to Melbourne, after visiting and discovering a flourishing techno scene. 2014 saw a move to Berlin.

With years of experience behind the decks on many stages from clubs to festivals, Anri has honed a unique techno sound that moves from experimental and challenging techno to melodic and deep and takes the dance floor on a journey into inner spaces held by her gentle feminine power.

Ambient Sleepers 002: ANRI (for Refuge Worldwide)

NFR012 - ambient techno bliss from Southampton by 'Mechanist'. There aren't many artists recording this type of music in Uk, but Mechanist always managed to stand out and stay true to his style combining dreamy ambient pads with dark leads and atmospheres and minimalistic drum patterns. This particular release inspired by the ideas of lost or forgotten cities, the knowledge and secrets they contained, and the languages they spoke. You can find his music on labels like Silent Season, Tehnofonika, Black String Records to name a few, as well as his own imprint - Intersum.

In addition we have included 2 remixes by artists that received many positive feedbacks after their appearance on NFRVA02 - 矯激 and Taece.

Through the Buddhist term 'Kleśa', which means mental suffering and anguish, the pain and repentance stemming from personal experiences and memories are captured. 'Anusaya' that endures pain through wisdom. 'Bandha' that blocks pain with a posture of abstinence. The theme sings the desire to overcome the pain starting with two postures.

Artjom Schmidt ( @artjom_schmidt ), DJ & producer from Augsburg, Germany, has discovered his enthusiasm for electronic music already 12 years ago. While first being more into Deep House / Micro House and Minimal Music, he slowly developed his passion & love for deep Techno music, Ambient & IDM. With his friend Till Hennig he organized a few Techno event series in Augsburg at Ideal Club, the famous Schwarzes Schaf and City Club, where they invited numerous DJs & Live acts from around the globe. Droneghost is the main musical project of Jaume Muntsant, producer and dj from Barcelona. 
The project starts in 2015 after finishing studying sound, although he has been involved in numerous musical projects since 1998.  

Droneghost was born with the intention of creating a dark sound universe, inspired by David Lynch, Lovecraft, spanish ghost stories and “the mysteries of life”, and he does it mixing techno with ambient and drone elements. 

Since then he has released his music in several labels such as Circular Limited, Aarden Records or Systolic, as well as on his own Bandcamp.
