Above & Beyond are reunited with Sunderland-born singer and songwriter Marty Longstaff for 'Flying By Candlelight’, the first in a new triptych of future club classics from the prolific trio.

Lifted from the upcoming ‘Common Ground Companion EP’ (which also includes ’There's Only You’ featuring Zoë Johnston and ‘Distorted Truth’ - set for release on the band’s Anjunabeats imprint in March), fans can watch the official lyric video for ‘Flying By Candlelight’ on Above & Beyond’s YouTube channel or stream both the Original Mix and Above & Beyond Club Mix on their favourite streaming platform.

Debuted at Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy 300 celebration in Hong Kong last September, A&B share this ode to the elevating power of love in several flavours: Original and Club, each a delicious serving of the songwriting chops that recently swept Above & Beyond to their second GRAMMY nomination for Common Ground album cut ‘Northern Soul’.

Says Tony McGuinness, "Flying By Candlelight is a love song about a saviour who rescues our protagonist from a dark, lonely place, taking him through a spectacular night sky. A bit like The Snowman by Raymond Briggs, but a bit longer lasting!”

Instantly recognisable, entirely unforgettable, ‘Flying By Candlelight’ is the second A&B vocal feature for Longstaff, who contributed the disarming vocal to Common Ground album cut ‘Tightrope’. More commonly found performing under the moniker The Lake Poets, Marty has risen to prominence in recent months with moving single ‘Shipyards’, penned for his home town of Sunderland, UK. The song accompanies the opening credits to the sleeper hit Netflix documentary, ’Sunderland ’Till I Die’.

Marking the 500th catalogue release on Anjunabeats, those who like their music in a tactile format will be able to get their hands on 1 of 500 limited vinyl pressings of the ‘Common Ground Companion’ EP, available for pre-order on the Anjuna Music Store at 5pm GMT on the 23rd of January. Above & Beyond’s bruising instrumental ‘Distorted Truth’ will be released on the 8th of February, with Zoë Johnston’s haunting ’There’s Only You’ completing the Companion EP release on the 29th of March.

Jiří and Lucie, popular and well-known under the artistic pseudonyms of NFIX & CANDICE are a DJ / producers duo from the Czech Republic. They launched their career in 2013 and are currently unquestionably among the top members of the Czech dance scene, primarily focusing on production of their own music with Czech and foreign stars.

Their collaboration with Quintin from Holland, with whom they released their newest track called Zoo Adventure under the Spinnin’ Records label, is certainly worth mentioning. This is historically the first ever record of Czech producers managing to release a single under the Spinnin’ Records label, which belongs under Warner Music. They also collaborated with Ben Cristovao on the track Perfect Summer Night.

Their music is supported by world-renowned names such as Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Hardwell, Afrojack, Fedde Le Grand, Bassjackers, Laidback Luke, DJ Chuckie, Showtek, Raiden, MOTi, Borgeous, Dillon Francis, Dannicand is also included in the Spinnin’ Records Miami Night Mix, which was created on the occasion of the Ultra Music Festival in Miami. The whole world got to know about their Zoo Adventures track as a result and the track was heard as the first ever Czech track on the main stage of the renowned Ultra Miami festival in the Fedde Le Grand set! Thanks to their music, which they continue to add new elements to, and their constant communication with the public, they have gained the hearts of many dance music fans worldwide.

They perform every year in the best clubs and at major festivals not only in the Czech Republic. For instance:

They perform every year in the #6 best club in the world - Papaya in Croatia on Zrće beach,
they performed on the main stage of the Austrian Electric Love Festival,
you can see them every year on the main stage at the Mácháč Festival,
they are part of the main stage at the Slovak EDMania dance festival,
they were part of a three-storey boat party by the #13 best club in the world - NOA,
and you have also been able to hear them at the renowned Ministry of Fun Club in Slovakia.

They are the resident DJs of the best club in Prague - Retro Music Hall, where they fill the club to bursting month after month with their Candy Land Night, which is called the sweetest night in Prague. They are also residents at the three-storey WATT club, the most modern club in Brno - Czech Republic.
