Memórias de Oneyda was produced during the RMX residency held by São Paulo's public cultural center CCSP in celebration of the 85 years of the sound library Oneyda Alvarenga. All percussion, beats, harmonic layers used in the EP were extracted from the vast collection of the Discotheque - Most of the vocals were taken from the mission of folkloric research, idealized by Mario de Andrade in the ’30s. The track's sonorities were adapted to the texture and quality from the oldest recording - seeking for an intersection between contemporary sound and a 30’s acetate disc. As if it was an old recording from a parallel reality.

Tapi dans les hautes herbes, massé par la mousse au pied de la végétation humide, il écoute le grand orchestre chlorophyllien. Ce n’est ni d’un observateur extérieur, pas plus que d’un visiteur émerveillé par cette mélopée que nous provient ce récit de voyage acoustique, mais bien d’un être vivant participant de plein droit à cet écosystème sensoriel. 

La puissance et la sensibilité de Folest tiennent là. Mêlant drone forestiers et fields recordings de la Mata Atlântica, cet artiste discret basé à Rio de Janeiro propose
une véritable épopée biophonique. Dense comme la sylve dont il tire son inspiration, timidement recouvert par quelques feuillages. 

C’est attentifs à la cymatique des chants amphibien, où l’intérieur et l’extérieur se confondent au rythme du vent que, pour le dixième et dernier (M)onde Sonore de l’année 2020, nous avons la joie de vous proposer cette session de rêve guidée composée exclusivement de productions originales.

Escondido no meio das ervas altas, deitado no musgo vibrante, de baixo da vegetação úmida, ele escuta o grande orchestra silvestre. Não é um visitante externo deslumbrado pela sinfonia da floresta que nos conta essa viagem, mas um ser que faz plenamente parte desse ecosistema sensorial.

Essa é a força e a sensibilidade do Folest, artista do Rio de Janeiro, qui nos conta essa epopeia biofônica. Densa, como a mata de onde ele tira sua inspiração.
