After highly acclaimed releases from OK EG and Donald’s House, Wax’o Paradiso Recordings proudly welcomes Naarm/Melbourne producer Midnight Tenderness (Ryan Hunter) to the fold. Over four tracks the ‘Hydrosphere EP’ continues the label’s narrative of platforming contemporary antipodean psychedelia with three masterful productions and a remix from Boorloo/Perth’s Hame DJ.

As a producer with influences rooted in dub, street soul, boogie and the DNA of UK club music, Ryan draws down on the Middy T sound with the title track ‘Hydrosphere’, a blend of broken machine funk, glistening synth lines and beautiful crisp drum programming. ‘Rain Vibe’ takes the sound palette further adding a hefty wub for good measure. ‘Catamaran’ transports us back to the golden era on the Balearic isles, with the original evoking Ibizan sunset cruises whilst Hame DJ’s remix brings some Madchester chug to the mix.

In an unusual collaboration between a Brazilian artist and a Chinese label, Numa Gama returns with a left-field take on her music-making, A Spectral Turn. Inspired by Derrida’s Hauntology, and the post-capitalist instigations of Anna Tsing, she weaves an eerie and cold subtropical soundscape that explores themes of freedom and imagination amidst the ghosts that inhabit today’s world.

Each track here unfolds like a vignette, as translucent synth lines float independently, accompanied by abstract sounds and glitches. This amalgamation creates a rational yet cozy stream of consciousness, guiding the listener through the haunted corridors of the memories of the past, ideas of the present, and miscarriages of the future. To summon these ideas, Numa Gama draws a parallel between negotiating political change and making kin with her own creative desires.

Rather than providing nostalgic sensations or futuristic insights, A Spectral Turn acknowledges that history ends at every moment, and gives way to new beginnings, swarming with ghosts.

Brace for the fourth installment of the wonderful Cómeme Mucho series. None other than the incredible Diego Morales, aka Diegors, leads the way with his “Terapia House.” Diegors was one of the first artists to release on Cómeme, back in 2009, with his seminal “Osea … Hello” on Cómeme 002. He is very much responsible for the creation of the sound of Cómeme, which later would have a huge influence on Latin American dance music and the rest of the planet.

One cannot understate his breathtaking DJ skills which have made him a classic of Santiago de Chile’s nightlife - a true DJ who knows how to magically open a party, destroy the dance floor on primetime, and move the crowd to joyful tears in unforgettable moments when closing a night. His track manifests his unique style, raw dirtiness, slamming grooves, House vibe, and Champeta rhythms he created when others long before the hype machines of the mainstream turned an eye onto Latin America. Diegors is the original to the copies we can hear today!

So who could be a better fit than the Chilean new school’s Syntrovert for the remix? We can’t think of anyone! Hailing from the city of Valparaíso, they stand for a new approach to what was starting to emerge about 15 years ago. Their version is faster, yet as groove-driven, with pumping and thrashing percussion, giving the original a twist towards other outer worldly moments of dance floor experience, a heavy for late night frenzy or daytime soundsystem block party craze. Syntrovert has established their name as one of the essential figures of the Chilean underground today - alongside the wonderful Paltamango they release countless tracks under mysterious monikers and collaborate alongside our beloved DJ Maxicat on one of the most essential Chilean underground raves of today: Quimera.

London-based singer, songwriter, performance artist and DJ, Kübra Uzun aka Q-BRA is an LGBTQIA+ rights activist working in the UK and also on an international basis on various platforms. Q-BRA is well-known with their genre-fluid DJ sets which ‘welcomes everyone to dance together’ in their words. They love to play with rhythm and harmony while curating their mixes and deejaying with intention, intuition and desire. In 2023, they were invited to London for a commissioned work in the Barbican’s Pit Theatre, titled ‘Transpose BURN: Pit Party’. They have been living and working in London since October 2024.

Resilience25UP is a trans-genre adventure composed of layered, diverse stories from here and elsewhere — all arriving in time, gathering and beating as one! It doesn't chase tempo or climax, with its distinctive turning points it traces the ways we survive rhythm. Resilience25UP moves through resistance; not in slogans, but in breath, delay, and hesitation. Recorded in London in June 2025, it holds traces of queer memory, bodily refusal, and care with loWe.

The title track is a peaktime weapon of epic proportions, oozing slippery electronic percussion, razory synth work, and in-your-face vocal incantations delivered in Portuguese. 

The flip side is a bouncey Afro-boogie number, a bit more organic in approach, and with a relentlessly catchy hook by featured singer Kaleta. With a gorgeous full color jacket to match the music’s punch, this one is an absolute late-summer essential.
