The sound of Xyiz is originally influenced by the dry, brute and urban sound of the early days of dub techno in germany. Robert aka Xyiz grew up in a small town in the middle of Germany. After initially playing guitar in a young punk rock band, he started discovering electronic music production at 16 and quickly began to develop a passion for experimental sound design and groovy rhythms. At the age of 17 he also started djing on vinyl, at that time still in the genre of DrumʼnʼBass. In 2016 he finally found a genre which is very open to atmospheric and interesting but still danceable rhythms and sound design, that’s when he started producing dub techno and related styles. He startet releasing EPs on the Label Kräuterbutter Kollektiv from Dresden (DE) followed by single Tracks on Pragmat Records and Slope Point where he lately released his first EP for the Label. After a long break from playing vinyl, he lately started collecting in the rhythmic and raw styles of Dub- and Deep Techno.

New Glitchsquid tune just came to light. The track is about me and memory-based time travelling. I’m publishing it on my 27th birthday but the work on this track was started by my dad by recording the voice of his then five-year-old son.
Glitchsquid wishes you all to feel a 100% essence of being yourself, of being here and now and and drawing tremendous amount of happiness from it.
