Objective  :      Mobile phone has become a common communication tool today. The idea of mobile phone orchestra is to transform mobile phone into a musical instrument, having audience to be engaged in social music making. Mobile Phone Orchestra MPO offers the possibility of accessible group experiences.

featuring original music, recorded interviews and photography by Ng Chor Guan in Lukang, Taiwan

Migration in human history started since centuries ago. 
The narrow small alley of Moru Lane in Lukang recall memories of how people are parted with their love ones, to unknown adventures in life. 
Upon brief research and interviews with local ladies over 10 days, IN-VISIBLE WOMEN is a collection reminiscent of the spirit of Matzu, a presentation of toughness, mercy and love.

What is a super-spreader? 
Although not strictly defined by the World Health Organisation (WHO), a super-spreader is generally taken to refer to a patient who infects significantly more people with a disease than usual.

Professor Woolhouse says: “We do not know why some people are super-spreaders, the medical question is whether this is just about chance and a particularly unlucky sequence of events or there is something different about this person.”

He says there are two possible theories about how super-spreaders start. “One reason could be that some individuals shed large amounts of virus so they are more likely to pass this on.

“This type of person is also likely to be sicker so more likely to be hospitalised and therefore presents a risk about hospital transmission.”

However, Prof Brendan Wren, professor of microbial pathogenesis at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, says there is no clear evidence this is happening yet with coronavirus. ​

“The other theory,” says Prof Woolhouse, “is that these super-spreaders cope better with the virus and don’t show any symptoms so they are going about as normal and don’t know they have it.”

He says that it is not possible for super-spreaders to know this about themselves and there are likely multiple factors at play.

So far with coronavirus we have seen an average of two or three people infected for every one patient. But because it is only an average, of course, some will infect more and others less.

Mark Woolhouse, professor of infectious disease epidemiology at the University of Edinburgh, told The Independent: “With a super-spreader you are just seeing the tail end of that [average] distribution pattern.”

This means that with diseases other than coronavirus the definition of a super-spreader could be different because the average number of people infected for every one patient is different (for example, during the 2002 Sars outbreak a person had to infect at least eight people to qualify as a super-spreader).

NG CHOR GUAN (Composer + Sound Designer) Born in Klang, Malaysia. His passion for music during adolescent years propels him towards this fascinating arena. Chor Guan started his career as professional music composer during his years in London. His diverse professional credits include music for concert, film, theater, dance (incl. dance video), exhibition and multimedia. His music has been performed in a wide variety of mediums including orchestral, choral, chamber, and electronic music. His work demonstrates an excellent integration of the classical and the contemporary. Upon returning to Malaysia in 2006, he collaborated actively with theatrical artists and choreographers diversify his works into a new era. To name a few, theatre productions include Antigone, Okiku- A Tragedy Retold, The Lost and The Ecliptic and Break-ing. Dance collaborations include The Curse of The Forbidden Palace, Whispers of Love, She Walks in Beauty Like the Night, The ‘R’ Adventurous Drift, Toilet, Nobat, Peony Dream and Ballet Nutcracker. With all his hard to show for, it wasn’t a surprise that he was nominated for 2008 Cameronian Arts Awards Most Promising Artist. Early 2009, his music for short films has been premiered in the renowned Rotterdam Film Festival in Holland and one of the short film "Everyday Everyday" has been awarded grand prizes in Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival in France and Artfilm fest in Slovak Republic. One Future in 15malaysia is his latest music score and sound design in film. Today, Chor Guan is proud to be invited to compose for multimedia dance - A Deer of Nine Colour in Silk Road Hong Kong Arts Festival 2009. To add to his list of accomplishment, he has also produced 11 CD albums of his own.
