These songs are not about happiness.
They are about meaning, about daring to exist,
and trusting that even silence can matter.

The first song, Broken Parts, was actually the last one I wrote. I was tired and felt unseen, and someone said the music needed to be “happy.” But inside, I was only in my inner world, feeling joy through meaning — through knowing that something in my life mattered. When I returned to the outer world, I felt wrong, fractured, but I still walked there, trying to fit in, trying to explain myself. The feeling had no words yet, because it touched so many parts of my life. Life is not about happiness — it is about meaning, about daring to be, and trusting that it matters.

The second song, Freedom Station, was inspired by a train station in Copenhagen. To me, it carries the sense of nothingness — and maybe nothingness is the same as freedom. The gift of the station is this: when you leave it, you are probably heading toward somewhere that matters.

The third song, Nothing Lasts Longer, is made of fragments. Deep inside, I still hope that someone will take my hand, look at me, and say: “Let us take the rest of the journey in life together.” To do what is needed, to embrace life fully. A year with that person would feel like a second — and that is why, in contrast, nothing lasts longer than being alone.
