@Scratchynski’s musical journey started in with techno in 1998 and faded into house in the early 2000s. From 2008 on, Dubstep and Grime dominated his musical interest. That led to the monthly event series ‘Sub der Republik’, from which the Sub Sickness crew emerged. That strongly influenced the Dresden bass music scene as they provided top-class guest performances by Mala, Om Unit, Kahn, Eprom, and many more. As musical style boundaries never were Scratchynski’s thing, his selection of electronically infected Hip Hop á la Flying Lotus and the Gaslamp Killer in combination with the first Footwork releases already met wide-open ears at the time. This is particularly true for the Funky Monkey events, when Scratchynski, DNZ, and east enter the DJ Spaceship and play entire nights together on 4 decks and 3 mixers. His solo sets are characterized by all the influences that shaped his musical path - an eclectic mix of Hip Hop, Glitch, Juke, Future Beatz, and a good portion of bass. You can hear it regularly on the @InfiniteSequence series and the corresponding monthly podcast. Besides his activities as DJ and promoter, Scratchynski is one of the founders of the Dresden based DAVE Festival.

The formula of his podcast consists of a well-balanced mixture of Rap, Grime, UK & international Drill, Dubstep, and thumping beats and is rounded up to perfection with razor-sharp transitions, that will make a DJs heart jump in excitement. Make sure there is enough space in your headroom (see what I did there?) so you won’t injure yourself while frantically throwing your skull around to this!
