Nearly a year after releasing their critically-acclaimed SOLOW EP, Canadian live electronic three-piece Keys N Krates have emerged from the studio with their newest creation “Are We Faded.” Premiered on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show on 8/8, the first single off their upcoming “Every Nite” EP” showcases the trio’s hallmark harmony between hip-hop, electronic and instrumentation. After we played our first show together, the Zeds dead guys and I really wanted to do a track together. They sent me a few ideas and the chord progression for this track really stood out to me and I immediately wrote some ideas for vocal chops and arrangement. A few months later we met up in LA and got in the studio to lock in the main idea and find a vocal. I originally pictured a track between us to be a bit heavier, but once we wrote these melodies and vocal chops I really fell in love with the emotion of the track.
