With the eminent and professional parting of ways on the horizon, SHDWPLAY prepare to release their final ep as a duo. Seeking new sounds and horizons, Skyler Taugher (aka SHADED) will soon be concentrating on solo projects, marking this final EP as a monument for the Los Angeles based act.
  
Having sound-tracked the Spring with their "Nerve Noise" ep, SHDWPLAY's new double-header sees them in imperiously funky form once again. Their minimal and warm, bass-driven grooves dominate both "Close Shut" and the B side "Save As" and as with all SCI+TEC releases the package is completed by an essential collection of exclusive DJ tools.

Big room techno is back on Torque's 5th release, featuring Q'Hey's "North Wind" paired with remixes by top artists from across the globe. On Q'Hey's original version of North Wind, the veteran Tokyo-based dj/producer drops a hypnotic, high-tech techno bomb that's heavy on bass and groove. Legendary dj/producer Marco Bailey delivers his own driving rendition of North Wind. Bailey's mix is simply unstoppable, building into a frenzy of drums and textures - perfect for open air festivals, as well as the darkest underground clubs. Next is a remix from renowned Greek artist Axel Karakasis - a minimal, funky techno affair with the unstoppable bass and groove that he's become known for. <p>The label bosses The Advent and Industrialyzer team up with Hugo Paixao and they are releasing an excellent EP on Codeworks. Kicking off this EP is the title track ‘Mutant’ which creates a big chunky affair full of dark beats with smooth percussion on the foreground. A very nice and intense production with smooth string getting along. ‘Twisted’ follows, featuring stabbing and rolling deep basslines mixed up with nice and melodic riffs. Can be better than that? Three excellent producers getting along and they produce two techno anthems for Codeworks. Enjoy</p>
