Gianni Callipari is the Swiss born DJ and producer who has been bubbling under for some time now, crafting his skills, both in the studio and in the clubs, for the past few years.  A crucial member of the Nordstern team (the hi-spec and highly popular 400 capacity nightclub in Basel, Switzerland), Gianni has played alongside a who’s who of DJ talent, from Carl Cox to Seth Troxler, Dixon to DJ Sneak, and of course with Luciano, the Cadenza ambassador.

It is this relationship with Luciano that brings Gianni to Cadenza, not just as an artist, but now also as a DJ (now on the Aether Artists roster alongside many Cadenza stable mates).

The ‘Modular’ EP is technically Gianni’s debut release (save for a track included on Nic Fanciulli’s Balance 021 mix compilation in 2012).  And it’s a confident and assured debut release on Cadenza.  Title track ‘Modular’ is steady in pace, and hypnotically uplifting in melody, without ever resorting to clichés.  Subtle touches to the hi-hats and percussive patterns keep the deep groove locked in whilst the synth work wraps around your head and doesn’t shift.  A track already road tested many times this year already, we know this cut has the power to lose a few minds whilst keeping the feet firmly moving.

‘Girls On Acid’ is less heady, going for a playful loose beat and choppy vocals.  Subtle synth sweeps pick up the energy throughout on this simple, yet effective, percussive club cut.  Wrapping up the release if ‘Boogie Curls’, a skanking and bass shaking track that builds nicely, again without ever over cooking the elements, a great mood piece to sign off with.

This summer, his solo talents have soared to a new level as "That Noise" takes over the Leena 038. The three-track EP also features "Brigade" and "Hey".

We are happy to welcome Maceo Plex to Drumcode with the fourth instalment of his Conjure series, ‘Conjure Infinity’. Featuring two tracks ‘Conjure Dreams’ and ‘Conjure Floyd’, both are peak time monsters that introduce two very different elements. ‘Conjure Dreams’ utilises a groovy, melodic bass that is reinforced using tight thumping drums to shatter any dance floor into the universe. ‘Conjure Floyd’ builds into a more ‘heads down’ techno vibe with a very interesting breakdown. With a well nourished upbringing in the Belfast house and techno scene, Chris Hanna has proved himself as
an artist that knows what works in a club. With a plethora of upfront underground releases on Made Fresh
Daily and Extended Play already under his belt, Chris is set to follow the wave of artists who have cut their
teeth on Ireland’s vibrant underground circuit to take on the world’s electronic scene.
As a DJ he has carved a style of his own with a longstanding residency at Shine Belfast, guest appearances at
both Twisted Pepper, Dublin and Glasgow’s now world renowned Sub Club, as well as regular slots across the
water. 2015 is set to be Chris Hanna's year of reckoning, with his first vinyl EP soon to be released on Ejeca's
Exploris records looking to transfer him from one to watch, to a household name.
The Psiren EP drops on Ejeca’s highly acclaimed Exploris imprint this April and is expected to send waves
across the Irish Sea to dance floors throughout the underground world. With deep melodic vibes and Chris’s

A great philosopher (Samuel Johnson, not Ebeneezer Goode) once wrote… “our brightest blazes of gladness are commonly kindled by unexpected sparks”. While it would be a stretch to suggest the Drumcode artist roster are closet philosophy fans, once one begins to unravel the tale that led to Jel Ford remixing the 2012 Alan Fitzpatrick hit ‘For An Endless Night’ and it is impossible to escape the unexpected enterprise and spirit of surprise that are at the heart of this exciting collaboration. 

As fans of Adam Beyer’s label will testify, the two Drumcode names have more in common than just a label stable, they also share common ground with the peak-time melodic sound that has delivered many of the labels most memorable output. Ford being a much more recent addition than Fitzpatrick, whose history with the seminal Swedish imprint stretches back to 2009, however Ford’s history within techno goes back even further having released multiple EP’s through the early noughties on vintage UK techno labels including Dave Angel’s Rotation Records, Billy Nasty’s Tortured Records, Primate Recordings and Ford’s own Jericho imprint. 

It is within this shared passion for uplifting synths and big room melodies that the ‘unexpected spark’ of creativity that led to Ford remixing Fitzpatrick can be found. An long-time admirer of Fitzpatrick’s work, Ford had developed an idea for his alternative version and secretly worked on the remix long before any discussion of the project had taken place. Once given the draft version, Fitzpatrick immediately endorsed the remix, excited to have an updated version to breath new life into what had become a familiar staple of his sets for the past two years. Parts were swapped and the end result being the barnstorming end-of-night monster presented here. A track that will be familiar with many having been the subject of much social-media furor since it first surfaced back in Autumn 2014.

As Russia’s greatest exports in underground dance music, Julia Govor and Tripmastaz join forces to deliver ‘The Probability’ EP featuring the tripped out and ethereal techno cut ‘Equals Tree’.

Under his TMZ alias, Tripmastaz takes on a more techno-leaning motif to complement Julia Govor’s moody and evocative sound profile. Their debut collaboration shines with enveloping textures and infectious rhythms, showcasing their talents with an expertly crafted production. 

‘The Probability’ EP marks the first outing for both Julia and TMZ on Pan-Pot’s Second State imprint. It also features two more originals from the pair, including the breakbeat leaning ‘1-’ and the hard-hitting ‘Plus Two’. 

The digital release is out now, while the 12” will be released May 12.
