dave minecraft : trapped ost 100 | The End of All Things

Been meaning to _cross_ this one off my list *snorts*. Also some context, this is a remix of a song I kinda fell in love with a few weeks ago, named "Villa Volta". It's random as hell & like, also a tune from the 90's but I really wanted to remix it. Coincidentally, I also binged the entire Xtale comic and Underverse series in one night, and now had a reason to write something epic, and what better than to write something for Underverse (･ω<)☆

This is 35 hours of work, making it the most time I've ever spent on a single remix, in my entire life of writing music. Villa Volta has a very intriguing and beautiful melody, and combined with my struggle of working with orchestral elements (to which I seem to use quite rarely, I do love me some bass, probably a bit too much), this made for one difficult remix.

And a side note about the series, Nyx & Stereo did a lovely job composing the ost. That was one of things I was definitely interested in with watching Underverse, as I knew the soundtrack was original, and nothing intrigues me more than original osts, whether they be fan games or animated series. There are a lot of details and unique atmospheric sound design work that I was pleasantly surprised with, and I look forward to seeing what I can do with these melodies. I have my eye on a few in particular, and I think we'll be seeing some underverse stuff on the channel here very soon.

Also wanted to note, not really important to the vid at all, but when Ink travels through those paint puddles my splatoon radar goes absolutely bonkers. Is he a kid? Is he a squid? What is he _really_ hiding? There are questions that need answers ( • ̀ω•́  )✧

[Underverse Remix] SharaX - Vive La Verse

'Cause we all needed a calm remix of Jevil & Sans with some sombre lyrics o3o I'm pretty late on the whole World Revolving & Megalovania craze but I hope the wait was worth it. I struggled a lot whilst writing this track as it's very hard to make Megalovania sound new and original nowadays since it's already been remixed in every way imaginable and The World Revolving is a very wonky track to work with. In the end, I think it turned out alright for how much I struggled with it and I even took the liberty of adding a nod to my Underswap remix "Retribution" at 1:04 & 2:42
