We are now in the middle of June and it’s time to celebrate big time, as Barcelona’s biggest week of the year has arrived again. Off Week is the most important electronic event during summer – with Sonar Festival as background – and elrow Music is ready to deliver its traditional Off Week compilation. However, this time ERM is happily joining forces with one of the biggest platforms of the industry: Kaluki. elrow & Kaluki present Off Week BCN V/A is a two-part instalment presented by the two most dynamic platforms in the tech-house scene right now. The first part of the compilation is ERM106th reference, compiled again by the label’s big man, De La Swing, and is an astonishing five-tracker of dancefloor bangers, with tunes by some of the most prolific artists of the genre. The second part will be released shortly, on Kaluki Music and promises to be just as big as this one. Opening this comp we have Hauswerks with their ‘Way Back When (Original Mix)’, a track that starts with a soft progression, a light vocal line that slowly becomes a true madness on its own, joined by some serious FX treatment, with a truly outstanding atmospheric vibe. Then, we have Ki Creighton’s ‘The Boogie Monster (Original Mix)’, a track that starts with a higher energy and continues with a kind of robotische and dark vocal line, along with some amazing synth treatment, giving the track life of its own, perfect for any moment on the dancefloor. After, we find ‘Amelia (Original Mix)’, by another great producer and DJ, Max Chapman. ‘Amelia’ has that perfect elrow’s vibe, strong and playful, with soft percussion, great FX and a steady vocal line. Continuing the line of the record, Italian duo Supernova tears us apart with ‘2 Get Her’, a groovier track with tight and strong technoid percussion, an epic vocal line that grows along

Black Girl / White Girl continue to turn heads with their new EP on SOUP NYC, Pulse X. 

Turning the heads of Green Velvet, Jamie Jones, and Hector Couto, Black Girl / White Girl is one of the most hotly tipped DJ/production duos to come onto the scene. Their authentic sound successfully blurs the lines of tripped-out house and techno, an irresistible combo custom made for sending dance floors into a frenzy.

Previously releasing on storied imprints like Relief, Roush, and Resonance, here they make their SOUP NYC debut with Pulse X EP: three original cuts backed up with stellar remixes from Supernova and Joe Pompeo. 

Kicking off the EP, ‘The Great Space Chase’ is an exemplary house cut: all twisted, whirling synths and driving percussion with a huge, hooky lead that burrows its way into your brain.  ‘Sugar Ball’ continues in the same tripped out house vein, and comes complete with a remix from Italian duo Supernova who transform it into a jackin’ house bomb. 

Completing the package are two version of ‘1968’: the deep, dark, seething original and Joe Pompeo’s remix which strips things back to basics, giving it a raw, elemental power.

NHAN SOLO is a hugely profilic producer who covers all aspect of House and Tech and has released on Solomun´s 2DIY4 and New York´s cult House label Nervous.

„Jack Is Back“ (Original Mix) is six minutes of floor rocking, booty shaking house with iconic vocals cutting up the percussion lead groove. It is tense and builds to a big peak, with a fantastic bass line carrying the whole thing along.

Young gun MARK MAXWELL is up first remixing and truly shows off an impressive interpretation, a peak time banger more on the jackin´and bumpin´ side.

Up next follows ALEX PRESTON form Sydney, he makes a flirtatious work, a classic House tune full of joy, funk and happiness that will keep the dance floor burning all night long.

The title track sees the Spanish producer weave a lush tapestry of layered pads complemented by snappy rhythms and liberally sprinkled with choppy percussive fills. "Bow-Tie" takes a more direct approach - with its wobbly lead lines providing a somewhat grittier aesthetic. With releases on Blind Vision, La Deep, Rendr and more, London based duo Fitz have set themselves up for a mammoth 2020 and we’re glad to have their first release of the year land on Hossh with three club-primed, minimal house shufflers. 

The title track Marv opens the EP with hazy chords and spacey pads that are brought together with a some smart vocal sampling resulting in a dance-floor ready heater. Jo’s Track brings a more small-hours feel to the release with a warm, rolling bass and soft drums while Show Us Their Accents throws up a surprise with a swing fulled, high-tech Jazz infused curve ball to keep everyone on their toes…

The following year his DJ career took off in a big way with European gigs with almost weekly occurrence, sold out North-, South American and Australian tours on his agenda.
