John Lennon - Imagine!! Just saying the artist and track name makes the hairs on the back of my neck tingle. It started out as merely an idea of bringing a timeless, iconic track with global recognition and unique message to a Trance audience. Charlie and I worked tirelessly for a solid 3 weeks in preparation for Gatecrasher's 20th Birthday celebrations. It was initially meant to be a surprise, one-off track and understandably, we had concerns about how it would be received.

Needless to say, we shouldn't have been. By the time my set had finished, I was inundated with questions about this unknown Trance remix of John Lennon - Imagine.

Armin was due to play Creamfields in 2014 and I had only ever played the tune again as an encore track in Liverpool which had generated even further interest. I figured that with the prolific Beatles connection (Cream being a Liverpool based club brand), he might possibly consider supporting. We sent it to him on the Friday of the event and knew that it was late in the day but a good tune is a good tune!! 🙂

The track was one of the highlights of his set and from
that point on, it was featured throughout his Armin Only Intense tours for a solid 2 years from Ultra Miami to ASOT Sydney to Electric Zoo in NYC!! The rest as we can all say is history!
