Production wiz @Jonny3snareS continues Cornwall’s grand tradition of esoteric and emotive electronics with the ‘Signal Drive’ EP.

On ‘Signal Drive’ itself,  lush analogue synth tones drift over crisp electro beats and acidic bass, while the gorgeous and bittersweet ‘Recovery2’ has a melody for the ages and a snaking bassline that weaves between cowbell hits and intricate drum machine rhythms. ‘Scramble’ mixes a braindance arrangement with funked up 303s.

On the B side, label boss MOY steps up to give the title track a dance floor friendly, break-driven remix, with snarling electroid bass and acid lines. ‘Oh Nein’, meanwhile, is a speedy 4/4 excursion, both contemplative and psychedelic, and ‘Back2’ closes the EP with echoic pads and a bleeping, circuitous lead, rounding out another exceptional release from the burgeoning Dynamics Of Acid label.

Aphex Twin threw down an epic set for the Ages at the Day for Night Festival in Houston, Texas on 12-17-2016. It was a non-stop 2 hour eargasm. Thanks Richard, it was worth the 20+ wait to see you!
