Monique, 23, started singing as a kid when she was chosen for a school activity to sing a psalm. Then in her early years of finding out her talent in singin, she enjoyed listening to 80s jazz, 90s new wave and a lot of ballads because of her mom, citing influences of Angela Bofil, Patti Austin, BoyzIIMen, REO Speedwagon and Air Supply.

Growing up, she have found to like 90s OPM and international pop, indie and rock music like Eraserheads,Urbandub, Mojofly, Moonstar88, Britney Spears, Michelle Branch and Vanessa Carlton as her major influences. She honed her singing skills joining Koro Rosario, her highschool's official choir, alongside joining a band formed by her highschool classmates and has been competing in interschool band competitions.

In her college days, she joined Choir For Christ, a Sta. Rosa parish choir and the UST-CTHM choir as an extra-corricular activity in her school.

Currently, she likes listening to pop music of the millenium. Katy Perry, Demi Lovato, Panic! At The Disco, Incubus to add to some of her current influences. She practically sings everything and anything she's ever listened to and still continues to search for artists which would just suit her taste.
