Temná energie plus čistá energie násobená uširvoucí studiovou alchymií se rovná Ekwols. Skotský drum & bassový umělec se vynořuje s urgentním zvukem, smysluplnou myšlenkou a hlubokou, přehlubokou vášní k evokující elektronické hudbě.

Nové jméno na tvrdé, technické straně DnB a člen vpřed hledícího, komunitně založeného kolektivu Evolution Chamber. Projekty Kennyho Draganse aka Ekwolse jsou součtem života stráveného po krk ponořeného ve vodách mnoha hudebních tvarů a příchutí, které přispívají kultuře všemi hudebními směry v každém možném uměleckém směru. V předchozích rovnicích už tento Edinburghský inženýr objevil nesčetné množství stylů a zvuků od předních punkových a ska kapel až po pořádání hudebních a uměleckých večerů během první dekády 21. století napříč třemi skotskými městy. Vinylář se smyslem pro kořeny pod jedním aliasem vaří dohromady dancehall, reggae, grime a jungle s čistým duchem soundsystému, zatímco přes den jako inženýr elektrotechniky jako kdyby kouzlem tvoří budoucnost skrz vývoj technologií a moderní programování.

Navždy poháněn rychlým vývojem technologií, Ekwolsova hudba je obrazem jeho smýšlení: komplexní a zvědavý, ale nikdy nezaprodá svou duši na úkor vědy. A to včetně zprávy o úplně a nekompromisní rovnosti a inkuze každého aspektu života, kterou se snaží světu předat. Jako bojovník proti rasismu, fašismu a homofobii a sexismu; Ekwols promlouvá za původního a sjednocujícího ducha, na kterém byla kultura ravu postavena. A jeho hlas sílí každým dnem.

With his debut album “Sawblade Screams And A Butterfly’s Dream” FLUCC delivers a 15 track LP of introspective alternative hard dance music. The release is a genre defying journey through the tense, yet beautiful landscape of heart soothing synths and ear piercing drums. FLUCC brings together influences from Hardcore, Drum and Bass/Jungle, Techno, Trance and Ambient Music for a manifesto of his sound that aims to resonate beyond the dance floor. 

The LP is an appeal to the experimental and unconventional side of hardcore techno. The tracks invite an open minded and empowering ethos and to challenge the often rigid and hypermasculine norms of the mainstream. They are for all the gabber fairies and dance floor goblins, from my heart to yours, to listen, to dance and to feel.

I made “February Trauma” while being sick with a high fever, after coming back from a visit to the lovely people of Vacance. The name leans on Goffbaby’s track “Summer Trauma”.
