"For this project I used only Maschine waveforms. No 3rd party synth vst's were involved.
Same with EQ's etc, only Maschine FX.

This was done to firstly to level the playing field and also to push my creative side, so not just relying on presets/tweaks for my sounds. Difficult at first but overall it was fun.
I originally only wanted to use the vocal line sample, but ended up using some of the instrumental for initial stabs on the intro and a loop for the fade out."

"the general constitution of the parts are as follows:

massive for the dubstep synths + fm8 for the electro

my own guitar as brief accompaniment (helps emphasize the major chord on the verse)

everything else uses maschine internal FX with the exception of guitar rig for some vocal boost, pro-Q (fab filter) for mixing touchups and LFOTool (xfer records) for side-chaining bass. I know this can be done by automating an internal compressor, but i find that to be cumbersome.

using drums from flux's new dystopia pack, and a kick/snare from drop squad.

i tried to perserve my favorite line of the tune, "there's static on the radio, but I can sing without the music anyway..."
