The next artist to feature her skills on MMD is non-other than podcast resident Nia BlaQ!

Nia is a well-rounded artist, poet and producer in the underground Deep-Tech scene having featured on some of the most prestigious labels and worked with some of the best artists around the world. Having released on Subtatic, P.U.N.C.H.I.S., Play Groove and so many more labels. She has curated a mix that will surely have you grooving on your Monday Morning Drive!

BIO:

Nia BlaQ is an artist in love with the shape of music, in love with everything that surrounds us and that, which defines us. 
Music is symbolic to her existence.

Always looking for the deepest part within the shape, trying to find her center. Getting to know herself through sound, discovering her frequency. Nia BlaQ is a writer and poet, deriving from Johannesburg South Africa, she merges her manuscripts with music to create unique shape to sounds we can sink into. 

She wishes to be completely open, she tells her story through time and tempo, creating an unwritten story through her mixing, developing dancers, in hopes of shaping a culture. 

Nia BlaQ has turned her words into weaponized wisdom, and so she speaks through sound, creating a medium of her own design, and in doing so she has worked with an array of incredible artists all around the world, from the UK, Columbia, Switzerland, USA, Mexico, and Germany as well as many more.

She derives from Deep Tech, she believes this genre is one of the most intellectual of her generation, as well as the most intimate when it comes to human emotion. 

Thus, she presents her story, for those who willing to truly listen and not only hear, for those who are on the search for something more, in hopes they may find it.

On 25. september 2015, the OFF Crew, represented by Andre Crom, Nandu and P41, hosted Sisyphos' "Hammerhalle" for the first time. It was a special event for all of us, playing 3-4 hour sets each on the amazing Function One Soundsystem in front of 1000 devoted clubbers.

Nandu opened the night, building the tension with techhouse grooves.

Then Andre Crom took over, playing the middle slot with rolling grooves meandering from functional to emotional techno.

Finally, P41 closed the night, delivering 3 more hours of eclectic sounds, switching from minimal to maximal techno.

Meanwhile, Melokolektiv and Konvex & The Shadow played a 4 hour B2B set with deeper and spacier sounds in the cozy Wintergarten

We at OFF were really delighted about the night, and felt it was a strong statement towards our future vision.
