As an exercise, and for to add to my portfolio, I created a new opening titles track for the Game of Thrones opening credits.  

This is in no way a criticism of Ramin Djawadi's score - which I love.  

I have a video version which I've synced to the original credits.  I have to say I'm quite proud of it!  Get in touch if you want to see it. :-)

Game of Thrones - draft 3

These are three of the themes used in my score for the play Daisy Pulls it Off.  The first is Daisy's theme, bright and bubbly - there is also a quote from the Welsh tune All Through The Night (spoiler alert....it relates to Mr Thompson); then there is Clare's theme - the Head Girl of Grangewood School; then the last is Sybil's theme which is used in the opening sequence, but the version here is from the finale to Act One

Daisy Pulls It Off - Main Themes

This is the main theme for Grover's Corners - taken from the score for the play Our Town by Thornton Wilder.  This theme is the one I used for the opening of the play - set at dawn as the folks of the town wake up and start to go about their daily life.

The second major theme for my score for Thornton Wilder's play Our Town.  The challenge here was to retain the innocence of George and Emily as they prepare to get married, but to create a sense of the challenging life ahead that faces them.  Using bare fourths against simple chords, and a melody using only a handful of notes achieve this.  I think!
