Nicodemus & The Ophiuroids were a groundbreaking quantum rock band from the 70s and 80s. Known for their experimental sound and out-of-this-world performances, they quickly gained a devoted following in the underground music scene. However, their meteoric rise was cut short when the band abruptly disbanded in the mid-80s, leaving behind only a few scattered recordings and a legion of devoted fans.

The band consisted of five members: Nick Johnson, the enigmatic lead singer with a voice that could soar to the heavens; Errol Green, the classically trained keyboardist who brought a touch of elegance to the band's sound; Paul Anderson, the wild and unpredictable guitarist whose solos were the stuff of legend; Owen White, the brooding bassist whose steady rhythms kept the band anchored to the earth; and finally, Todd Brown, the mesmerizing drummer whose fierce beats propelled the band forward.

Together, Nicodemus & The Ophiuroids created a sound that was like nothing else before or since. Drawing on influences ranging from classical music to quantum physics, they crafted intricate songs that explored the mysteries of the universe and the human psyche. Their live shows were legendary, featuring elaborate light shows and otherworldly stage effects that left audiences spellbound.

Despite their success, Nicodemus & The Ophiuroids were plagued by internal conflicts and creative differences. After several tumultuous years and a gruesome tragedy in which Todd Brown killed Errol Green after a fight over a chord progression, the band dissolved in the mid-80s, leaving behind only a handful of albums and a legacy that continues to inspire musicians to this day. Today, their records are rare and highly sought-after, with fans scouring the globe in search of any remaining copies.
