The producer, DJ, collaborator, remixer, promoter and label head of Trunkfunk Records has been on the scene since the 90s but 2014 has been a particualrly stand out year. 'Back in July, punk rock wunderkind Bryan Kessler released his 'New York, Baby EP' on Get Physical Music. Now that the days are a little shorter and things have gotten a bit darker, October sees the release of the 'New York Baby (Remixes)'. 
Reworked by no less than the legendary DJ Hell and NIBC, New York, Baby, gets the old-school treatment by way of a dark, gritty makeover that leaves it fit for a dank basement party somewhere in uptown NYC. 
While DJ Hell delivers not one, but two equally grinding and hypnotic versions of 'Dr. Kessler' (names like Powerhouse and Simplicissmus give you a hint), NIBC strips away all of New York, Baby's percussive spice to replace it with more serious, anodine rhythms. Slow-moving, hard-hitting and with enough of an industrial twist to give it bona fide street cred.'
