Isolation is a lofi cover single collaborative by Pittsburg's Nic Lawless and Brooklyn's Zach Ellis aka TAOTSS(the Adventures of the Silver Spaceman) Side A is Nic Lawless(guitar, vox, synth) fronting John Lennon’s Isolation with Zach on drums, guitar, and piano and Lazer Kid Kotowitch of Frankie Foo and the yo-yo Smugglers on the bass. Side B is Zach(bass and vox) fronting Isolation by Joy Division with Nic on drums and backing vox while Lazer takes the synth hook to her trumpet. The three met in a yurt on the property of a collective art house in a tiny town in the southwest of Colorado called Paonia.  Nic and Lazer were there starting what became a project called Crush while Zach was doing a temporary work trade nearby. The concept for the Isolation single was thought up by Nic and Josh Barnes last summer when coping with the solitude of living in a yurt in the middle of nowhere finding solace only in the depths of Lennon's Plastic Ono Band. A year later here is TAOTSS + Nic Lawless: Isolation
