Chapeau Music goes from strength to strength here with an amazing produced four-track EP from the up and coming producer hailing from Newcastle: Max Page.

His first ever release kicks off with “Shellin it”, a powerful track dominated by an arpeggiated synth lead and a stately kickdrum that sets the tone for what’s to come thanks to well thought out blend vocal sounds with relentless drums throughout. This track gives a proper idea about the Max Page sound right now.
The remix is entrusted to the skilled hands of Oots, a Melbourne-Based DJ and Producer that provided a peak time jungle influenced banger remix keeping in mind the soul and the intentions of the Original Mix.

The impressive hardcore aesthetics and sweaty hug energy and overall mood of this remix make it a pure gem to be played out.
“Kudo” has a racy approach on Techno keeping the spirit of the “90s” vibe. Soft rhodes in contrast with pumping synths and short vocal shots. The energetic texture that this track has is driven by few elements well combined on the drumline, all these things make this track a definitely versatile must have inside the DJ bag.

“I would say that Kudo represents my sound as an artist the most. I would describe my sound as heavy drums with energetic and bright stabs. I hope to zone in on my sound this year and become more consistent with the amount of tracks I produce.” (taken from Chapeau Music Talks w/ Max Page”)

The final track “Poolside” leads us in the happiest part of the ep, a piano house track that perfectly fits the end of this EP. The solid bassline marks the direction to be taken during the dance, the vocal elements help to create an ethereal atmosphere that creates impatient waiting for the various drops. A song that takes us to the poolside, and does it with absolute style.

“I would say I take a lot of inspiration from 90s rave. I like to pair modern heavy house drums with the old school 90s sound design to create an energetic and fun track which can be used in any situation.” (taken from Chapeau Music Talks w/ Max Page”)

Today we premiere new music from Thelma & Josh Coakley as London and Dublin meet up for rave soaked techno. The pair have created dance-floor bliss as showcase a big room techno anthem that is packed with rave stabs, pounding kicks, adjuring vocals and crunchy percussion.

Two of the most exciting names in rave edged house and techno link up for a big and bold techno anthem. Both Thelma and Josh Coakley have been producing a concoction of infectious 90’s inspired cuts on various imprints, with key influences coming from their neighbouring countries, England and Ireland.

A newcomer to the scene, THELMA has been making waves with her techno productions this past year. Growing up in Switzerland’s capital of underground music, Lausanne, and now living in London, she is constantly challenging herself to adapt her music to different audiences. The artist has played in renowned London venues such as Egg and Corsica Studios, quickly followed by performances in Paris, Dublin and Belfast. With exciting upcoming releases and international shows, the future is looking bright for the artist.

Josh Coakley a name that needs little introduction to Irish crowds has been rising from the ashes of Dublin music scene. The award-winning DJ/Producer Josh Coakley is one of the youngest Irish talents and most underrated DJs on the international circuit now, and one of those selectors blessed with the ability to really tell a story. With productions signed to some of the best and biggest labels in the world he is never afraid to take a risk behind the decks, and you’re likely to hear him smash through some vintage old school rave tracks along with the best in house and techno.

The pairs formidable ode to the 90’s channel’s raw energy of familiar rave techno formula’s with head banging rhythms, and unapologetic vocal hits. This is made for the dance-floor, and we can see this burning dance floors across Ireland and the UK all Autumn & Winter.
