Nicacescu is a project from Romanian duo Nicolae & Cacescu that pays tribute to romanian electronic music. 

Nicolae and Cacescu were born in Bucuresti in the early 1990´s, right after the collapse of a brutal and repressive Communist dictature and the death of it´s leader, Nicolae Ceaușescu. 
They were raised in an age characterized by freedom of expression and transgression of taboos imposed by former dictature. At the age of 18, Nicolae and Cacescu studied comparative Romani Music at Universitatea Nationala de Muzica, Bucuresti.  Then, they decided to found the Record Label and Art House Cactus Records where they worked on several projects with local artists such as Adronache Popescu or even Lupu Ionescu.
