I always joke that this mix was my mating call (my wife thinks that’s gross), but hey—it worked! Back in 2011, I was deep into hip-hop & R&B and the future wave of upcoming talent. This mixtape blends 2011's future with the legends, featuring early mixtape tracks from Frank Ocean, the Big 3 (Drake, Kendrick, J. Cole), Janelle Monáe, peak Kanye, Rick Ross, Jay Z, Nujabes, Pharcyde, Tribe, Slum Village, and even some of my own edits and collabs. Anyway, my wife insisted I re-release it for Valentine’s Day—so here it is! Hope you enjoy the vibes, whether you're chilling or reminiscing.
