Sam Harris calls it "reverse profiling" but that's just an oddly pedantic way of complicating the issue.  What he says is that airports should focus almost entirely on young to middle-aged men.  This is why he keeps saying he fits his own profile.  He makes exceptions for rare examples that *obviously* aren't terrorists- e.g. celebrities, quadriplegics, etc- that's why he doesn't go with just saying age and gender.    He's often confusing in his obsession with being precise and nuanced and intellectually honest to a fault, but he is not talking about profiling in any racist sense of the term.  Disagreeing with that position is fine, some people like to argue that jihadists will just enlist little old ladies to blow up planes for them, or whatever.  Ok, maybe.. but that still doesn't make it ok for people to slander him as supporting profiling, in the traditional racist sense.

Congratulations on a fantastic podcast kickoff with Maryam Namazie! I’m confused about her position that “asylum is a human right”: I’m I hearing that correctly? She seems to be saying: open the borders to everyone who wants to enter and then if some are criminals, prosecute and jail them rather than deporting them to their country of origin where they may harm others.  This seems reckless and we are seeing the problems play out in examples like Cologne and other cities on new year’s eve where 100’s of sex attacks were perpetrated by what BBC has reported as "almost exclusively from a migration background mainly North African and Arab” Does she really want to allow 10 million more asylum seekers, disproportionately young males many of whom have very misogynistic attitudes towards women, to exercise their “human right” to immediately flood into Europe knowing that it will be impossible to protect against the crimes as seen in Cologne?  Any clarification would be appreciated.

It's outrageous that this podcast was taken down by YouTube. What happened to freedom of speech. I agree with Maryam on a lot, but disagree with her "open borders" . That's fine, that's what free speech looks like.
