Juste un pas devant l’autre, jusqu’à l’effondrement. 

Les kicks rugissent comme des moteurs de machines, les hi-hats frappent comme des alarmes incessantes. Une progression inéluctable, comme une horloge qui avance vers la fin de ton énergie.

Marcus Visionary’s ganja-fueled spliff-shooter appears seemingly simultaneously All Over Town, while imported English cowboy King Yoof asks the timeless Shakespearean question: Have You Ever?. Dreadlocked outlaw Tuffist joins Austrian gunman Max Powa alongside the west-country’s most-wanted, J Man, burning down saloons and speak-easys till the people fill the streets and Holla Fi We.. K Jah’s message at the gallows in town square lets everybody know exactly why Chopstick is still Wanted and searched on the streets. Finally King’s Hifi takes the control center as Williamz and King Kong explain why lawmen who hunt the posse are bound to experience a Rumble Jumble Life. Chopstick Dubplate shot the sheriff and the deputy, so it’s murda they charged for… musical murda!

All Souls - Composed on Halloween utilizing a pulse designed to create and release tension.  The opening and closing sections are in 11/8, while the middle section in a pulsating four.  The piece utilizes the juxtaposition of the plucked Chinese Zheng against the driving Africanesque rhythmic structures.  The image is that of souls incarnating and returning home, incarnating and returning, again and again.

Volume 5 of the ever popular series of compilations from NICE UP! and it's another round up of the labels action over the last year or so, with big singles from Seanie T & Roots Manuva, Origin One, Mr Benn and Preacha alongside vocalists such as Rider Shafique, Parly B and Gardna with tracks spanning hip hop, reggae, dancehall, drum & bass, jungle and more!

As always there are some brand new and exclusive remixes included, most of which are previously unreleased. First up, US duo Folding City get busy with Origin One and Irah's huge "My Yout" twisting it into a darker grime/dancehall hybrid. Greek jungle badboy goes hard on Escape Roots "One Step At A Time" with a half time DnB recharge, whilst Numa Crew associate T-Kay turns up the heat even more on Mr Benn and Parly B's "Heat Up". More jungle comes in the shape of Conrad Subs massive remix of Sub Alpine & Natty Campbell's "Bubblin" - a tune that has been road tested at festivals all summer to devastating effect, while Swiss mash up don Max Rubadub gives Seanie T and Serocee's huge "Blaze Fire Bun" a heavy reggae refix.
