Windmill is energetic. It's a fun, upbeat track with a slight melancholy tint to it. Bright melodies, and dreamy vocals. Catchy, anthemic, guitar riffs. It captures a unique sound, but retains a familiar quality. Lyrically, it's centered around the, "shrinking violets," phrase. The feeling of shyness that emerges when a relationship starts to deteriorate.
