Progression Session

Drawing on the influences of the artists, labels, events and brands that have shaped my musical tastes, my "Inspirations" series pays homage to the sounds and styles that helped define who I am as an artist. 
In 2015, I attended my first rave, Subculture at Hisense Arena, so it's only fair that my first inspiration mix be attributed to the event/label that kick started my passion for raving. This is not a mix that I consider to be complete, however, and I will most certainly be revisiting and expanding it in the future. This mix is only a taster of things to come.

My set from Trance Gate's "A Night of Sin" at Cavalier Brewing,  following on from the feature act Dark Sin. Was my absolute pleasure to bring the noise for this set. Nothing but dark, dirty and banging tunes all mix.

Recording of a 4 hour live stream I did for the TwitchDJs collective. Hadn't streamed for months prior to this one, so was good to be back at it. Plenty of vibes to go around in this mix, some parts deep & dark, some parts light & fluffy, but hopefully you find all parts good!

After some delays due to some (very scary) technical issues, I'm pleased to bring to you my 2022 end of year mix!
This mix consists of 22 tracks, broken into two parts: an emotive, melodic and progressive half, followed by a banging, heaving and pumping trance half.

2022 EOY Mix

I'm proud to present my Anjunadeep set, recorded live from "Anjunafeast", an all - things - Anjunabeats & Anjunadeep charity event. This humble event was hosted by myself and a few very talented and very special people, all local to Melbourne in Australia, at the Melbourne Bowling Club. Proceeds from this event were all donated to Beyond Blue, a charity near to our hearts that we are proud to support.
My set was a revisiting of the Anjunadeep compilations 1-4. Compilations that were pivotal in the development of my musical tastes in my post high school years. I've been hanging on for the opportunity to share these tunes with people since 2014, so when the idea of an Anjuna tribute event was discussed, I eagerly jumped at the opportunity and listening back, I'm very pleased with the result.

My set from the debut EMERGE event, hosted at the quaint Twang Brewery, here in North Melbourne, Victoria. What a fun, wholesome day of fun this was! Every sound from organic house to banging tech-trance was covered on the day. Really solid debut event for the EMERGE crew and I'm stoked to have been a part of it.

EMERGE001 Nick Angel

My set from the Enigma Events hard trance take over stage, on the Sun Temple stage at this year's Esoteric Festival. What an experience this event was! 

Huge shout out to the Enigma crew for having me on board. Endless love to you all.

I can't really explain just how incredible this experience was. To play the hard trance sounds I love on the main stage at Esoteric. Hopefully, you feel the passion we all shared on the day through my set!

Esoteric 2024 | Enigma Hard Trance Takeover

I had the pleasure of providing the soundscape for my dear friend Nick Gubbels's breathwork session. This was a very unique experience, brought to life through Nick's vision of the world of DJing and the world of breathwork meeting, providing participants with a carefully curated sonic journey to go along with their guided breathwork. It was a privilege to be a part of Nick's vision and I can't wait to see where he takes it.

Big shout out to Azriel/Half Moon Temple in Richmond for providing us the space to facilitate these sessions. It's a wonderful space that's as inviting and calming, as it is energetic and lively.

Holotropic Breathwork at Half Moon Temple

I'm pleased to present the full journey, start to finish, of Tiny Hands Presents: Transient, which featured myself as the special guest! 

A huge thank you to Swaino and Ben for inviting me to be the special guest of the night. We'd also like to thank Inner North Brewing in Brunswick for hosting us and for their quality selection of brews. Definitely check them out if you're in the area and feel like a beer or two!

We've opted to share this 3 hour mix as one continuous journey, rather than breaking it up, a we were all so happy with how the music flowed on the night. Swaino kicked things off, setting the mood, followed by Benji, who always brings the vibes and then myself, finishing things off with my staple genre blending style.

Very pleased to present the recording from my set at another holotropic breathwork session. I was once again invited by the facilitator of the event, my dear friend Nick, to take the participants of the breathwork session through another sonic journey. This set is a much more emotional mix than the previous session I mixed for and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out.
These sessions really are something unique and I'm so privileged to have been given the opportunity to curate a journey for the attendees once again. Another big thank you to Nick for the opportunity and to Azriel at Half Moon temple for hosting us.

Welcome to my profile :) Over time, I hope to turn it into a musical heaven on earth, a place for fellow music lovers to come and experience the joys that music has to offer. In my mixes you will find most forms of dance music, from funky disco to banging techno, emotional trance journeys to tug at your heart strings and many other genres that fall in between and around them. Maybe some other more experimental sounds too, depending on how adventurous I'm feeling in the future.
