You Get (2018)combines old school workflows with cutting edge audio manipulation techniques to form a surreal collage of musical sound. Inspired by Cypress Hill and Delia Derbyshire, a 1/4" tape machine was used to creatively manipulate audio recordings of the human voice, alongside Kyma and Mutable Instrument's Clouds. This was combined with newly recorded breakbeats, performed by Craig Wall, which featured old-style recording and mixing approaches to capture and present a lo-fi vibe. Strictly no pre-recorded material, samples or presets.
