"SUN IS OUT" is the second extended play (EP) by nicholas parker.

"SUN IS OUT" marks a continuation of nicholas parker's last and debut EP, "colors", except it has more influences from lo-fi, synth-pop, and soft rock.

my first EP, "colors" was mostly, largely no-vocal and it had 5 songs ranging from electronic and indie lo-fi. i decided to not speak on the EP and let the listeners listen to them and think about what would the songs make them feel.

"SUN IS OUT" changes all of that. it marks a range of many genres and influences of what i learned about music-wise. "SUN IS OUT" has a day-to-day vibe. It has a feeling of waking up in the morning, eating ya' breakfast and drinking ya drinks, reading ya' newspapers, taking a shower, getting dressed, stepping outside, and getting the day started. (And getting that bread.) But not all the songs are the same. There are heavy things that people deal with in the morning.

(needless to say, this EP is kind of depressing and not at the same time.)

My influences for making this EP: tyler, the creator, rex orange county, mac miller, steve lacy, N.E.R.D, the neptunes, pharrell williams, odd future, billie eilish, kero kero bonito, cryalot, pool kids, and soccer mommy.

this is a little something, something i've made on this monday evening and tuesday early morning.

this is some laidback stuff.

[i'm feeling mid today]

this is an instrumental i made titled "JUST ENJOY LIFE". my main influence for making this beat was tyler, the creator's album, "call me if you get lost (and the estate sale)". hearing the multi-genre production and Wes Anderson-esque visuals of that album, just opened a whole new world for my like of music and it's just chef's kiss amazing to listen to. i recommend 100%.
