What we gonna do right here is “Go Back”, way back. It not only reminds of an Arthur Russell vibe, it has the de facto ingredients of Arthur Russell’s highly acclaimed garage sound: naturally Steven Hall aka Nirosta Steel was the guitarist and/or singer of Arthur Russell’s hits “Is It All Over My Face”, “In The Light Of A Miracle” or “Tell You Today”. Nirosta Steel met up with DJ, producer and Chinese record shop owner Tomasz Guiddo, who had a previous Compost Disco release. When Kalabrese heard the original, he said it reminded him of a hidden Talking Heads track. Kalabrese has delivered his typical live-made disco-tinged joy ride, with its hypnotic groove and clever dubbed out electronics.

Villabosso, a vinyl lover and an old music soul, he was originally drawn to hip hop and funk before buying his first deep house and tech house vinyls earlier this decade. Resident of the infamous Golden Gate club in Berlin, he has since been spinning his wax at a number of renowned underground clubs in his home country of Switzerland and also in Germany. 

This mix is of the highest quality in terms of track selection, transitions you would normally hear if the artist is on CDJs or using mp3s to give you an idea of the quality of Villabosso when he's on the decks! 2019 is a year of discovery and evolution regarding music! Enjoy!

Record store owner, DJ, producer, and digger extraordinaire @tomnoble comes to RNT with a superb edits EP of sought-after Caribbean and African sounds. The A side burns hot right out of the gate with the explosive and percussive Soca-disco pulse of They Came To New York, then settles into the laid back lilt of Zouk Pour Esa. On the flip, Disco Massamba is a wild ride of an Afro-disco burner and Parang-A-Teng brings it back to the Western hemisphere for some Latin-tinged funk from Barbados. Well worth it for the value of the original source material alone, this 12” is nothing short of dance floor destruction!
