Now, with the release of their debut EP under the WSHOM banner, the duo of Peter Panther and Shahaa Tops are taking it further for Midnight Riot. There’s a wealth of ideas in there, both with 'Du Jour' & ‘I Tell No Lie’ they're taking things into a cosmic direction with rolling disco vibes mixed with a dark, hypnotic 1am house perfectly encapsulating the WSHOM sound!

There’s a cosily prominent piano on the title track, slightly more decisive vibes on ‘Rap On’ and that wonderfully heart-warming keys and horn combo on soon-to-be crowd favourite ‘O.D. Of Love’. ‘Seashore Groove’ wraps things up with some seriously funky vibes for the hardworking man, concluding what might be one of the most precious packages of the second half of 2018.

This project was my first ever collab with one of Sydney's Royality Re- Edit Kings, https://soundcloud.com/jrdynamite. We came up with the concept of this Rework one afternoon back in 2015. 

I'd always loved the original but that 1:20 acapella intro is hard to get past to play "out". JR got to work and laid the foundation for the groove and i reworked the vocal and instrumental arrangements - the end product is still a fav dancefloor go-to in many of my sets today!

Albuquerque, New Mexico based Zaid brings the mystique of the desert to Viva Recordings with The 505 EP. You can definitely feel the spirit of the Southwest come alive all throughout this spectacular 6 track journey. 

From the onset, the jazz vibes on 24 Hours elicit images of a smoke filled saloon on the outskirts of town. Dirty Thoughts is a sensual number, with far off horns and sultry spoken word. Guitars strum out a call to action on the groove based Social Peterz. A high desert trip wouldn’t be complete without a psychedelic element, and It Tickles takes you straight there with a winding acid excursion. One Day finds us in a deep spirit realm, wandering the sands with our own deep thoughts. Lonely Heart closes the EP out with a somber spoken word number on a deeper and darker mood. The 505 EP is the perfect road trip soundtrack, and one that will stir up thoughts and conjure images. Can you feel it?

As some of you may know I’m a die-hard fan of Chaka Khan since I discovered her in 1978 …Wow, 40 years anniversary this year !... So I would like to celebrate this, in offering you a special 8:38 long Jazz-Funk /Dub take of one of her brilliant track, originally produced by Mark Ronson. In this track, I have left a lot of room in the production for the fantastic Rhodes parts that are played by my talented friend Mr Fender Rhodes. Then I have locked the Bpm at 120, replayed the Bass parts, worked a lot on the Percussions, and added some Guitar, more Rhodes licks, together with my sorcerer sound…
This Mastering version is different than the one that was proposed for a limited time on my Facebook.
Please be kind to support Mr Fender Rhodes’s work as well as my work in reposting and playing this track ‘till the end of times !
