Prey For Me

This one is for all of the teachers who wake up every single day, have a cup of coffee and never stop reaching out to those difficult students lost in their own imaginations. To Mrs Vikki Ronn and Mr. Ryan Denison, thank you for always holding me accountable, giving me chances, finding creative ways to get me interested and for being pivitol to who I have grown up to be. When I was 12 years old, I lost my childhood best friend to Leukemia. It was one of the roughest things I have ever had to deal with. 20 years have passed since that day...I still remember our school counselor coming into our classroom and telling us that Gilbert had died. I held back tears. I stayed strong for about an hour and as the school bell rang for us to go to our next class I quietly walked home and got into bed, and stayed there for the next two days. I had never felt hurt in that way until that moment. 

This is for everyone who has lost someone so young.
