Nicholas Hamilton is a rising Hollywood star and social media influencer best known for his roles in IT (2017), IT: Chapter Two (2019) and Captain Fantastic (2016).  Born and raised in the legendary music town of Byron Bay, Australia, the 20-year-old lived full time in Los Angeles pursuing an active film career before COVID-19 shut down the film industry, allowing Nicholas to return to his birthplace. After writing songs for over 2 years, Nic then dove head first into his love of music and created a compelling and authentic EP exploring the mixed emotions of love, loss and change. His third single, “In Line”, is a slight departure from his other releases, as Hamilton leans into pop-rock, with a heavy, funky bassline guides the listener throughout the song. The pain in Nic’s voice is audible as he battles with his conscience about leaving the town where he formed his child and teen memories. The track’s contemporary post-chorus brings what could have been a 70’s rock ballad, back into the modern world, as Hamilton serenades his blossoming, yet chaotic adulthood into existence.

All Our Heroes is a song I wrote about the passing of two of my childhood heroes, Robin Williams and Philip Seymour Hoffman. It’s my reflection on what happens when the people we look up to struggle in ways we can’t fix, and the emptiness it leaves behind.

The song blends folk, blues, psychedelic, rock & roll, metal, and soul to capture the mix of grief, confusion, and admiration I felt. It’s heavy, honest, and questions the way we view success, happiness, and the idea of the afterlife.

This one’s for anyone who’s had to reconcile the fallibility of the people they once idolized.
