Max Graham is not one to stick to a single genre of music; he approaches each track as puzzle piece to be combined with others to create a vibe, yet each one is unique and plays an important role in the overall story.

Graham’s new peak-time trancer “Purple" and his collab with Maarten De Jong entitled “Lekker” have exactly the kind of sound you can expect at one of his shows. The Mark Sherry remix of Graham's “The Evil ID” pushes the 2013 hit well into 2014 with a fresh new sound. Also gracing the tracklist are some brand new single releases from Graham’s own imprint Rebrand Records, these include Solid Stone, Aerofeel 5, ReLocate and Robert Nickson as well as Chris Agnelli. I wanted this to be the first track from Drive I shared with you all not because it's the biggest or the best, but because it's probably my personal favourite.

The album was basically inspired by a road trip I took with my wife from New York to Los Angeles last year, taking in Route 66 and numerous ghost towns, deserts, mountain passes, dirt roads etc, and I came up with the melody for this one towards the end, somewhere in the Mojave Wilderness as we finally made it into California, the setting sun of the West in the distance. A long way from home, and still fairly far from our final destination, but the end was in sight. And that's the moment the track basically came to describe. It isn't really a club banger, or a club track. It's just something I felt like writing.

Anyway - enough deep shit. Still feels slightly surreal to be sharing this body of work after waiting so long. More soon.

If one track embodied the uplifting, 80s-infused spirit of Michael Cassette’s debut album ‘Temporarity’ best then that track was surely ‘Crockett’s Theme’. A cover of Jan Hammer’s Miami Vice theme tune from the famous 80s TV show, Michael Cassette’s interpretation of ‘Crockett’s Theme’ takes one of the most iconic pieces of electronic music from that decade and brings it cruising into the clubs of the 2011.

Now married with a brilliant proggy tech remix from the legendary Tom Middleton, ‘Crockett’s Theme’ is set to reign supreme on the dancefloors of everywhere from Miami to Ibiza in a way it has never done before.

A producer who has dabbled in the full rainbow of electronic sound and remixed everyone from Orbital to Prince, Tom Middleton remains a unique and versatile talent in today’s electronic music scene. 

Unsurprisingly, his Cosmos mix of ‘Crockett’s Theme’ adds yet more appeal to an already universally loved anthem. Adding a hypnotic tech tweak and an instantly infectious groove, Middleton’s Cosmos Mix gives things an underground edge, before slowly swelling the speakers with the unmistakable melodies of the original for a dramatic melodic payoff. 

Completing the package, Komytea take things down a dark, throbbing techno path for a killer contrast to the other two mixes.
