Ever witness or take part in a TV show, radio program, or livestream where a "debate" occurs, and it's anything but a fair environment? Let's face reality. There's a practical "Media Party" out there, where the bulk of mainstream and niche media are tuned to the same frequency, and either overtly, covertly, or coincidentally working together to sell narratives, and work together to shut down dissenting viewpoints. In this video series, I talk about some of the more common strategies used by the hosts, against the guests who appear on their programs. In this first episode, I review 3 strategies used to set the stage, and diminish the impact of the opposition.

It's no surprise that most programs or shows work to dominate the discussion with views that support or outline their agenda, and minimize the window of opportunity their opponents might have to bring up good points. In this video, I go over 3 of the most common tricks of the trade used to crowd out "the enemy" with the limited time available to the show.

It doesn't take an expert or experienced debater to see that some shows will not give their guests a proper chance to take part in a discussion. Sometimes hosts of the programs will pull out all the stops in order to throw guests off their game, deny them enough time to make their case, or mire them in dialog that limits their ability to adequately explain their points.

I'm going to rant for a bit over an issue that's near and dear to me, journalism, the coverage of news, and how it's been slanted heavily to the left for the most part. I want to talk a little bit about media bias. Particularly cable news bias, but this logic extends to the newspapers and their related online sites.
