Amsterdam based duo Niels Voorbach & Ewout Colijn joined forces not long ago for their studio project Apotheque & Bold Moves.

After a long but short break a bunch of unexpected interpretations of Without Letters “Unfollow EP” finally got it’s shape. The remixes were made by Lithuanian artists, who are shattered all over the Europe. Straight from London comes an expected ZZ Popcorn „Heritage“ remix, which acoustically can be mistaken as an interpretation of Eurhythmics unknown song. The second interpretation of “Heritage” is made by Shkema, who is constantly involved in sound design projects for the Lithuanian National Drama Theater. The “Sight Lines” remix comes from Denmark. Konsistent, who was one of the initiators of “Untitled Tricks” illegal raves in Copenhagen, took a slow, almost balearic approach. The “Malaria” interpretation was made by the fresh the Berlin resident - Vaiper, who is basically a flag carrier of the Lithuanian trap scene and is a frontman of locally well known Despotin Fam Band. Versatile and quality staff for global ears over here.

Dimitri Definition Schnider drops another heavy EP on his growing imprint of the same name. Unleashed features 3 originals from the artist, each expressing its own passion in dynamic ways. First Yelo swoops in to start a fire with its low-key approach with a steady heat glowing from between the beats, creating a soulful and deep experience. Miu takes the stage next, trapping our imagination with a frail vocal narration as the beats swell and the bass builds, sending out a beautiful message to the universe and anyone listening. The track tops out as a serious dancefloor contender with plenty of groove to take us to the stars and back and thats a good thing because want to be back for the final track, and itchy tech-house groover titled Red Sky. Paul Hazendonk returns on his own Manual Music imprint with the final part of his Signature Series trilogy. Yet again presenting two brand new originals that cross over between various genres within the melodic electronic music spectrum.

First up it's 'Unagi', a massive and intense peak time dance floor bomb that will leave you with the feeling that you've been slapped in the face... in a good way! Paul's trademark arps build up the tension towards a roaring ravey bassline only to revert back to emo mode during the beautiful piano break until it's all systems go again. Proper madness this one!

The accompanying piece 'X Is Forever' is a more heady and intelligent piece. Starting out with a minimalistic arrangement and wobbly bassline, a mysterious vocal gets introduced early on which turns out to be the trademark element of this song. Of course the ever present arps make their introduction as the track gently builds on towards it's climax. A lovely piece of work to end the Signature Series trilogy!

This one is just the opposite of the title saying Common Side , since this remix is the uncommon side of me but reflects my mood 100%.

Nick Devon is an Athens based DJ/producer whose involvement with electronic music has spanned more than two decades. His musical journey commenced at 16, when he started experimenting with toy pianos and pretty much anything that could produce notes. Before long he was playing his father’s vinyls and from here, quickly advanced to DJing and producing.

Initially producing drum & bass as well as trance, he later transitioned his sound, gravitating more towards electronica and techno. Hence his ability to unite a plethora of elements and genres throughout his current productions. His dark trippy melodic sounds are distinctive, forged through a combination of digital, analogue and physical instruments sourced within in his own studio. This admirable skill has earned him much respect from numerous high profile artists worldwide. As a former vinyl DJ, Nick is also an avid record collector and to this day, spins plenty of old and new records. He enjoys embellishing his vinyl love by including them in his gigs and sets where ever possible.

It was 2010 when he officially launched his solo project and from this point forward, Nick started producing sounds and music that shook the dance floor, yet bestowed captivating melodies and emotional soundscapes, allowing people to create their own story within his productions. Ever since then, Nick’s career swiftly evolved and 2015 was his most successful year to date with two huge EP’s titled “The Poem” and “Cosmos”. His remix on Innellea - Colante quickly followed in 2016 and with all three EP’s released on Steyoyoke Recordings, it clearly affirmed just why he is considered a core member of this Berlin based collective. His tracks have been remixed by the likes of Kellerkind, Rolland Appel and Cid Inc and with an ever growing fan base, his music is regularly played and supported by some of the biggest DJs around the globe. Throughout his career, Nick has released originals and produced remixes on a number of labels such as, iRecords, Union Jack, 3AM, Blindfold Recordings, Us & Them, Steyoyoke and Inside Out Records. It’s only the start of 2016 and with a string of upcoming releases to look forward to, Nick Devon certainly has some exciting things on the horizon.
