The Black Light Disco show leapt back onto the My House Radio airwaves with the perfect tonic to those Monday maladies and start of the week blues.

For this show our favourite roving reporter, master DJ, cake baker and occasional locksmith Cole Kutz was welcomed back to BLD Towers with open arms and closed wallets. Cole had spent the weekend jazzing up the Roller Disco on the 49th floor - going through literally hundreds of bottles of Mr Sheen to ensure that the rink is sparkling and smooth for the upcoming ‘Disco on Wheels’ season. Cole will be your host for the whole two hours, dropping sizzlers from the likes of Moo Monster, Eli Escobar, Corrado Alunni, T Markasis, Mambo Brothers and Felipe Gordon to name but a handful.

If you're seeking someone who truly embodies the essence of universalism and soulfulness in House Music, Afshin, the legendary boss of Djoon club, is the wizard capable of enchanting your dancefloor, transforming it into a haven brimming with passion, love, and boundless physical Expression.
For nearly three decades, he has been instrumental in transforming Paris into another House Music Mecca, deeply rooted in its origins yet imbued with a spirit that reflects the vibrant life of the City of Lights.
As a promoter, he believed in the necessity of building a long-standing home, a space that reflected the culture just like the music, an institution that connected legends with local up-and-coming talents. From that point, “Djoon” was born in 2003 to welcome almost every legend out there, from Louie Vega and Joe Claussell to Danny Krivit and Theo Parrish.

The Black Light Disco whips up the sonic candy floss that is the myhouseraio.fm airwaves - making your fingers all sticky and giving you a lasting sugar moustache that will turn heads and set you up for the week ahead. 

This week, our residents Esteban and Cole Kutz will be your hosts for a two hour journey down the psychedelic rabbit hole of disco, house, funk and everything in between. 

The effervescent Esteban leads the charge for the first hour with killer tunes from the likes of Miguel Migs, Chewy Rubs, Luis Radio and Scruscru pulled out of the bag. 

For the second hour, the man like Cole Kutz slips off his disco lounge robe and getting right into the groove - dropping tracks from Lup Into, Paul Parsons, Re-Tide, Sunner Soul, 8 Bit Society and Kerri Chandler feat. Yaniel. 

It's a whip crackin', knee slapping get down!

Bruin White is a house and disco DJ specialising in the sounds of nu disco, soulful/piano house, and 90s rave. Passionate about 70s-to-present music, Bruin takes audio seriously which has led him to playing at Shoreditch's Ballie Ballerson and Birmingham's coveted Mama Roux's Discotheque, as well as having a residency at the Rhu Bar nightclub in his hometown of Basingstoke. With musical selection that brings out the best in disco, funk and the origins of house, alongside a mixing style greatly influenced by the likes of Louie Vega and Dave Lee, each set's purpose is to brighten every listener's day (or night).

Here's what happened when I headed down to Cafe 1001 to spin a few tunes. A distinctly African-inspired first half, building the pace into something a bit housier with a sprinkling of vintage disco magic!
