this is a brandnew tune , recorded in december 2023. since my mockinbird isn´t functioning at the moment, I had to record the guitar parts using a Les Paul Copy, which I send trough a Marshall Mg100hdfx head. Merry Christmas!

Burn to Live / Live to Burn

I dreamed about a disco version of this song. Took me a while, but I think I got there. A man and a woman meet in a bar on a sleazy night life street. They both have drinking and drug problems and don't particularly care what happens to them. The man offers to take the woman to "the hills" - somewhere private. The encounter leaves them feeling a sense of failure which they didn't expect. She leaves the car, slams the door and walks away. The man feels a great opportunity slipping away. He looks for her down an old dirt track and then sees her "angel" eyes shining back at him.
